Russian Team Led by MAI Student Won Innompic Games

On November 27-30, the III World Innompic Games were held in the Indian city of Ghaziabad. It is an intellectual olympiad for the creators of breakthrough science-based startups. The Russian team was led by Kirill Lakhminov, a second-year student of MAI School №3 “Control Systems, Computer Science and Power Engineering”. The team took three first places in the nominations “Best Team Performance”, “Best in Business Design”, “The Most Creative Team”.

On December 13, 2019, the International Festival of Cultures was held at Moscow Aviation Institute. The event was dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the university. In the framework of the festival MAI international students represented their cultures to all MAI community.

Nothing Is More Important than Cleaning Up the Space

Not many of the leading scientists, under whose guidance projects will be implemented on mega-grants of the "seventh wave", are constantly working in Russia. And a very unusual situation is when a professor at a regional university becomes the head of a laboratory at a Moscow university. Under such conditions the mega-grant was won by Head of the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of Samara University, Professor Vladimir Aslanov, and Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University). Professor Aslanov told about the tasks of their joint project called “Space Flight Mechanics” and about what missions are really necessary outside the Earth.

On December 10, a lecture hall №301 named after academician Valentin Petrovich Glushko, one of the founders of Russian propulsion engineering and the founder of NPO Energomash (branch of Roscosmos State Corporation), was inaugurated at the MAI School No. 2 “Aviation, Rocket Engines and Power Installations”.

On December 3, the first module of School of Customer Support and Services in Aviation Industry was launched at Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University). The formation of syndicate of the largest technology companies working on the creation of artificial human heart is being completed in Russia. The base of the syndicate will include the Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky (RSCS), Moscow Aviation Institute, state corporation ROSATOM.
