MAI visited by heads of the BRICS space agencies

On May 24, 2024, Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) was visited by the heads of the BRICS space agencies.

The delegation from Ethiopia included Abdissa Yilma Tiki, Director General of the Institute of Space Science and Geospatial Research, and Alemiye Mamo Jacob, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Institute of Space Science and Geospatial Research. JSC "Glavkosmos" was represented by Ilya Tarasenko, General Director, and Ksenia Shakhova, Head of the Regional Department.

The delegations discussed comprehensive programs of the Russian Federation in the field of rocket and space systems, including those that are carried out together with the BRICS countries, long-term and short-term retraining programs for Ethiopian experts; training and retraining of personnel for the space agencies of the BRICS countries and areas of cooperation in integrated training as well as the interaction of the space agencies of Ethiopia and Roscosmos with subsequent orders from the Russian part.
