MAI students took part in the XVIII Open Olympiad in the Russian language

Airframers rulezzz? Of course they do!And sing, and recite poems!

On April 24, 2024, the XVIII Open Olympiad in the Russian language for foreign students of non-philological universities of the Russian Federation was carried out at National Research University "MPEI".

The open Olympiad in Russian for foreign students of non-philological universities of the Russian Federation had been held at the National Research University "MPEI" since 2001, since then more than 4 thousand students participated in it. In 2024, 78 students from 29 countries and 12 universities of the Russian Federation took part in the Olympiad. The topic of the Olympics in 2024 is "I awakened good feelings with a lyre" (A.S. Pushkin).

At the opening of the Olympiad, the rector of the National Research University "MPEI" Rogalev N.D. made a welcoming speech. "Every year our university is happy to welcome students from different countries who want to express their love and respect for Russian language and culture via their creative performances. I wish all the participants inspiration, good luck and unforgettable impressions!", – he said.

Students from Mongolia, Sugarjav Bilguuntulga and Gunjinlham Arjuna, took part in the Olympiad on behalf of MAI, India was presented by Reginald Daniel Shadrach, the Syrian Arab Republic – by Almohammad Sami, Zimbabwe – by Onest Mpume Moyo, Madagascar – by Ramiandrisua Tsimalemi Jean Eme.

Students of the 1st  Institute, Sugarjav Bilguuntulga and Gunjinlham Arjuna (Mongolia), and Reginald Daniel Shadrach (India) won the third place in the "Song Contest in Group" nomination.
