MAI scientists won 5 medals at Archimedes-2024
Scientists of Moscow Aviation Institute were awarded five medals at the XXVII Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes-2024”. All the developments presented by the University at the exhibition received awards.
MAI was awarded a special prize from the World Association of Invention and Intellectual Property WIIPA SPECIAL AWARD, a Diploma of Respect and Gratitude and a diploma from the Federal Service for Intellectual Property for active participation in the work of “Archimedes-2024”.
Three projects were awarded gold medals: the development of “active” antimicrobial and barrier coatings for the packaging and space industries (Head - Head of NIO-12 Pavel Shchur, Institute No. 12 “Aerospace High-Tech Technologies and Production”); the development of a method for technical diagnosis of buried power transmission cable lines using UAVs (Head – engineer of NIO-9 Valery Spiryagin, MAI Military Training Center); development of a crack-resistant aluminum-matrix fiber-reinforced composite for structural purposes with a hybrid structure Head – Dmitry Ivanov, Senior Researcher of NIO-11, Institute No. 11 “Materials Science and Technology of Materials”).
Andrey Zhukov, Professor of the Institute No. 12 “Aerospace High-tech Technologies and Production”, senior researcher at the Research Institute “Technology of Production of Instruments and Information Control Systems of Aircraft”, won a silver medal for the development of a method for obtaining differential thermoregulating coatings for space.
The bronze medal for the development of a pulse-frequency modem for data transmission over power supply networks was awarded to Vasily Egorov, head of SKB-4 Signal, senior lecturer at Institute No. 4 “Radioelectronics, Infocommunications and Information Security”.
The evaluation and examination of the exhibits was carried out by the expert commission of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property and international commission – more than 50 experts in total.
The event was held in Moscow on March 19-21. It was attended by representatives of 28 states, including delegations from China, Serbia, Iran, Thailand, and 30 regions of the Russian Federation. 570 innovative projects and inventions were exposed there.
