Students of English-medium programs received Practical training certificates

On October 25, 2018 students of English-medium programs completed their practical training at the JSC "State Machine Building Design Bureau "Vympel" named after I.I. Toropov" (Moscow).

For the first time in the history of MAI, international students of all English-medium programs have an internship organised at the Russian industrial enterprise.

Students from Bachelor’s programs had lectures and specialised seminars, which were given by Ivan Polienko, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Head of the Training Center at “Vympel” and other highly qualified designers and engineers. A specially trained interpreter was with our students throughout the classes, which lasted for 2 weeks.

At the end of practical training, students had an exam, after the successful passing of which they received their practical training certificates.

“Training at Vympel was our first internship in this academic year. The practice was really good and useful. Teachers were very friendly and the interpreter was really amazing. The exam was easy for me because I learned the topic very well. I liked their attitude towards students and the educational process. I knew a lot about the structure of aircraft propelled rockets and about Mig - 21, Mig-29 aircraft.” – Yusuf Ansari, a student of Propulsion Engineering program from Bangladesh commented on the training.

“It was nice and useful, most parts of materials were in Russian, but it wasn't a problem, as the interpreter translated everything to us. The exam was not easy and not difficult. If you have attended all the classes, you would have enough resources to answer the questions. Actually, I already knew all of the guys there, so it was fun to do an internship together”, - shared his opinion a student of Spacecraft Engineering program Ahmed Gamal Mahmoud Arafa.

Practical training for international students of MAI at JSC “Vympel” will continue in 2019.
