MAI has raised its position in the QS BRICS University Rankings 2019

The Quacquarelli Symonds rating agency has published a new set of rankings for the best BRICS universities - the QS BRICS University Rankings 2019. For the second year in a row, Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) has shown steady growth. In the current version of the rating, our university jumped 8 positions and ranked 105, closing up on the top hundred.

The rating is published since 2015 and evaluates universities according to 8 criteria: reputation in academic and professional circles, number of students per teacher, the proportion of teachers with a degree, publications in leading journals, quoting, the proportion of international students and academic staff. MAI showed growth on 6 points, and the proportion of students per teacher remained at the level of world leaders.

For 2 years, MAI has significantly increased its R&D volumes, strengthening links with industry and earning a reputation as one of the leading research universities in Russia. Due to new and updated educational programs popular specialists graduated from MAI, which also has a positive effect on the reputation of the university among enterprises in the real sector, is attracting new foreign students and partners.

MAI is already implementing cooperation programs in the field of training, research and development with PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, JSC United Engine Corporation, JSC Technodinamika, and plans to expand the list of partners with other key players in high-tech markets - State Space Corporation ROSCOSMOS and State Corporation Rostec, foreign companies COMAC, Safran SA, etc.

Quacquarelli Symonds is one of the recognized leaders in the market for assessing the quality of higher education institutions. The rating products of the agency are among the three most authoritative tools for assessing and analyzing the position of the university in the international academic space.
