Delegation from India visited MAI
On September 20, 2018 a delegation from India paid a reference visit to MAI with the aim of developing cooperation in aerospace sphere.
The delegation from India consisted of 9 persons and was headed by Sanjay Prasad, Second Secretary-General (Agriculture) of Gujarat State. Among participants of delegation there were Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat University Himanshu Pandya, representatives of such industrial enterprises of India as Larsen & Toubro Limited, Rajiv Engineers, GOLS Technical & Vocational Education Pvt. Ltd., Star Overseas Ltd, KPMG India and representative of Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
MAI was represented by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Alexander Shemyakov, Head of International Projects Alexey Zarechensky, graduate student of MAI Praveen Sankaran and specialists of International Department of MAI.
MAI presented the educational programs for international students, research possibilities of the university and joint educational programs with foreign partners, which impressed the Indian delegation. Vice-Chancellor of Gujarat University was really interested in partnership with MAI and strongly determined to continue negotiations on cooperation . The parties discussed possible lines of cooperation and were satisfied with the negotiations.
Gujarat University is a collegiate university and located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was established in 1949 and has now more than 300 000 students. University has the School of Sciences with Department of Physics, Space science and Electronics, which it is proposed to expand, taking into account the interests of students.
After the meeting the Indian delegation was guided to the training laboratory of Faculty №1 "Aviation Engineering", equipped with real aviation samples. After the tour, the Heads of delegations exchanged memorable gifts.
Every year MAI entered a lot of students from India. Educational and training cooperation between MAI, Indian universities and industry companies of India will significantly increase the flow of students. MAI also has a close partnership with Hindustan University and Veltech University, which are located in India.
