MAI develops cooperation with Shenyang Aerospace University
On June 28, a delegation from Shenyang Aerospace University, led by Vice-President of International Cooperation Mr. Von Tsi, visited Moscow Aviation Institute. From the side of MAI the meeting was attended by Natalia Odintsova, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Advanced Scientific Programs, Anna Katkina, Assistant to MAI Rector, and Alexander Khvan, curator of joint Master degree program Moscow Aviation Institute - Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
For Chinese partners of MAI was given a tour through Faculty No. 1 “Aircraft Engineering” and Institute No. 2 “Aviation, Rocket Engines and Power Installations”, were shown all laboratories, as well as research centers, wh ere students do laboratory work and science projects.
The main purpose of the visit of Shenyang Aerospace University delegation was negotiations on increasing the scope of cooperation in the field of global education. Both MAI and SAU are confident that the development of Russian-Chinese relations contributes to an increase in the mobility of both Russian and Chinese students.
Both sides achieved the expected result: were reached the agreements on increasing the number of joint undergraduate and master programs for students from SAU, and also was agreed a plan and form of exchange between two aerospace universities.
It should be reminded that the cooperation between MAI and SAU began in 2017. Two universities have entered into network agreements for training in Master double degree program. First year Chinese students will study at their home university, and then come to the second year of study to MAI. In September 2018, MAI expects the first students from SAU who will begin their studies with other international students.
