MAI Develops Cooperation with Lavochkin Association
On June 25, a delegation fr om Moscow Aviation Institute visited Lavochkin Research and Production Association, one of Russia's leading rocket and space industry company. As part of the meeting, guests visited museum of the company and the manufactory of space vehicles, where were demonstrated samples of modern space technology.
Further, a working meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sergey Lemeshevsky, General Director of Lavochkin Association. During the meeting parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation between the university and the company. Yuri Ravikovich, vice-rector for scientific work of MAI, made a presentation to the management of Lavochkin Association on the priority development directions of MAI in the sphere of research, technology, international cooperation and the volumes of R&D, performed in the interests of Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities and other state companies and ministries.
Also during the meeting was taken up the general directions of collaboration and were formulated the proposals for the creation of the Roadmap, as the main document for further cooperation.
The signing of Cooperation Agreement between Moscow Aviation Institute and Lavochkin Association will open a new stage in the cooperation between the university and the employer: it will allow to maximally integrate the processes of training and creation advanced models of space technology, will increase the involvement of teachers, students and specialists in joint scientific-research and development work.
