Rector of MAI took part in the opening of the Samsung AI Center in Russia
On May 29 rector of MAI Mikhail Pogosyan took part in the Solemn Opening Ceremony of the Samsung Artificial Intelligence Center, which was held in the commercial and business center "White Square". The Opening Ceremony was also attended by Executive Vice-President of Samsung Research, President of Samsung Electronics Headquarters for the CIS countries and many other senior executives.
Many graduates of MAI work in big IT-companies, and more than 20 graduates are now the specialists at the Samsung Corporation. In particular, Sergey Sobko, the graduate of MAI Institute No. 3 "Control Systems, Informatics and Power Engineering", works for the company Samsung Electronics as Head of Regional Business Administration.
Rector of MAI Mikhail Pogosyan gave a welcome speech "I believe that the future is for those who will be able to connect the best scientific and technological resources. The cooperation of people in the Artificial Intelligence Centers will initiate new processes that will ensure the success of the information technologies development around the world”, — said Mikhail Pogosyan.
The creation of the Samsung Artificial Intelligence Center in Russia is one of the key milestones in the long-term strategy of Samsung Electronics. The center will interact with leading Russian experts in the field of fundamental research on artificial intelligence for the development of future technologies.
