New cooperation agreements with China

On May 21-22 a delegation from Zhejiang University and the company "Zhejiang Haika Feihong Aviation & Technology Co." visited Moscow Aviation Institute. The company provides international logistics services, including air transport. The main theme of negotiations was the cooperation between two universities and integration of the aviation companies into educational processes. To date, not many Russian universities pay attention to the further employment of their students, and graduation of future specialists in isolation from the actual real problems of industry leads to incompetence and unpreparedness of personnel.

MAI, as the leading aerospace university in Russia, for its very long history never stops cooperating with industry leaders. As a result, we can see joint research and development work with various civil and military aviation companies, targeted training programs, a cooperative institute of MAI and Shanghai Jiao Tong University and many other projects.

The cooperation with Chinese partners from Hangzhou was determined according to an identical scenario. Negotiations lasted two days and as a result, several agreements were signed to open joint bachelor and master's educational programs in English and courses for additional professional education. Our colleagues from China expressed the interest in opening a joint research center for small aircraft in Zhejiang, based on two leading universities (MAI and Zhejiang University) with the support of “Zhejiang Haika Feihong Aviation & Technology Co.” Such a close connection with the industry and the possibility of joint research, which will develop more and more, could be interesting for young scientist, whose goal is the creation of independent progressive scientific projects.
