MAI Continues Advanced Training Program for COMAC Corp
From the end of January 2018, a group of Chinese engineers from Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has been undergoing training on aircraft onboard systems.23 high-profile specialists will get acquainted with the best technical solutions for prospective Russian jet engines and their implementation methods.The curriculum includes lectures as well as workshops on air conditioning systems, flight control system, turbojet engines and power supply subsystems selected individually depending on the specialization of each student.This ten-day program has become the third case of successful cooperation between MAI and COMAC. Earlier the university delivered short courses on composite materials and the integration of avionics, created in the scope of collaboration.Moscow Aviation Institute works jointly with Chinese partners on the project of creating an aircraft engine with a thrust of 35 tons whose development is underway for a new COMAC C929 wide-body twinjet airliner.
