Chinese Students Complete Training on Jet Engine Design
A group of Chinese engineers has successfully completed the short course on the design of aircraft gas turbine engines prepared by Associate Professor Valeri Nesterenko. A graduation ceremony was held on December 10 at the Faculty of Aircraft Engines  (Propulsion Engineering).The training curriculum was focused on practical aspects of jet engine design and manufacturing. All students are employees of the Chinese aviation companies; their training was organized by Aero Engine Corporation of China. Currently, the Moscow Aviation Institute cooperates with Chinese partners on the project of creating an aircraft engine with a thrust of 35 tons which is being developed for a new COMAC C929 wide-body twinjet airliner.
