New Joint Bachelor’s Program to Start in 2018
On December 4-6 the official representatives of Moscow Aviation Institute visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The parties discussed the format for the opening of a joint bachelor's degree program which is planned to begin in 2018.The second item on the agenda was the discussion about already running joint master´s program. Both fr om the Russian and the Chinese sides it was emphasized that subjects of master's theses should be related to the project of a wide-body twinjet airliner CR929 and coordinated with Russian and Chinese companies that had provided funding for the program. Also, the parties discussed the conditions for passing internship at the enterprises of the industry for participating students.

Finally, they discussed the organization issues of upcoming ICASSE international conference which will be held in Moscow.

At the end of the tour, the delegation of the Moscow Aviation Institute visited  Zhejiang University in Hangzhou (ZJU) wh ere they tentatively agreed on a roadmap for opening a new bachelor’s program and holding a summer engineering school for students of ZJU.

 

At the present time, science fellows of Moscow Aviation Institute actively collaborate with the COMAC corporation (China). In October they did training on certification and maintenance of airworthiness. In January 2018 a joint working session is planned on the theme of “More Electrical Aircraft” concept.
