MAI International Student Marathon

The Rector’s Cup International Student Marathon organized by the International Student Culture Center of Moscow Aviation Institute together with the International Student Union will take place fr om November 1, 2017 to April 30, 2018.

The program will include sports and cultural events wh ere the participants from different countries will demonstrate their skills in various areas. Countries which participate in the largest number of events and score the most overall points will win the Rector’s Cup and a memorable prize.

The goal of the marathon is to help international students better adapt to student life at MAI, to give students from different countries the opportunity to share their experience, to diversify their leisure, and to expand cultural international relations.

The International Festival promotes peace, security and equality of all peoples, and establishes friendly ties between university students.

The first event within this year’s marathon was the International Table Tennis Tournament among the MAI international students (team and individual championship) on November 1-4.

Over 70 students from Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, Egypt took part in the tournament.

In the end, students from Vietnam had an unconditional victory both in the individual and in the team championship.
