MAI Graduation Ceremony for Myanmar students
On July 26, MAI held a Graduation Ceremony for our Masters students who came to study at our University from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
This year, 15 Myanmar students have successfully completed their studies on MAI’s Master’s programs, at the faculties of Aircraft Engines, Avionics and Electrical Engineering, and Applied Mechanics. One of the graduates from the Department 301 even received a diploma with honors.
All the graduates studied under a centralized contract between MAI and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Their studies were divided in two stages – first they studied at the Preparatory Course, and then on the Master’s programs. Some of today’s graduates will continue their PhD studies at MAI.
The graduates are now going to go back to Myanmar, but they are already planning their future career in engineering. One of the graduated from the faculty of Applied Mechanics said: “During my studies I majored in computer design of aircrafts. The qualification received will allow me to work in automated design of aircrafts not only in the aeronautical sphere, but in all industrial areas. This is a highly demanded specialization back in my country”.
From MAI, Vice-Rector for Education, Mr. Dmitry Kozorez, Director of the International Student Center, Ms. Elena Baranova, Deputy Director of the International Student Center, Mr. Sergey Troshev, and Head of International Student Department, Ms. Marina Yakovleva, participated in the Graduation Ceremony.
The successful cooperation between MAI and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar has lasted for over 16 years. This year, the University signed another Education agreement – 13 Myanmar citizens will begin their studies in MAI this academic year.
