Mikhail Pogosyan became part of the Aviation Board of the Government of the Russian Federation

Rector of Moscow Aviation Institute Mikhail Pogosyan became part of the Aviation Board of the Government of the Russian Federation. The corresponding order was signed on February 2 by the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The Board was established by the Decree of 21 December 2016 “For coordination improvement of federal agencies, bodies of executive power of the Federation subjects, the organizations of the aviation industry and air transport in the development, production, operation and promotion on the markets of Russian civil aviation”. According to the document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, “in a competitive environment of foreign companies” it’s necessary to develop a “coordinated approach of manufacturers and aircraft operators to the issues of their creation and maintenance, as well as the adoption of effective measures of government support for the development of scientific and production base of the native aviation industry and stimulation the demand for its products”. The creation of the Aviation board should contribute this task.
