MAI employees spoke about superconductivity in France

From 1 to 2 February in Bordeaux, France a conference “More Electric Aircraft 2017” was held. The head of the department “Electrical Power, Electrical and biotechnical systems” Konstantin Kovalev took part in a round table discussion devoted to the prospects of more electric aircraft. Senior research scientist, assistant professor Nikolay Ivanov presented in the conference. He spoke about the achievements of the department and institution in the field of superconducting electric machines and also highlighted the possibility of creating such machines for use in the more electric aircraft.

Among the participants were well-known companies and institutions such as Airbus, Boeing, Safran, DLR, The University of Nottingham, and others. In the course of discussions and negotiations MAI employees showed a high level of completed developments, proposed concrete solutions to the industry and received a large number of proposals for joint work on the implementation of programs such as SRIA and CleanSky.

We are pleased with such a successful business trip!
