Ambassador of Bulgaria awarded MAI students, the MAKS winners
Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Kotsev and the director of the festival "From the screw!", the chairman of the Commission on the development of children and youth scientific and technical work at the Ministry of Industry of Russia Viktor Sobolev presented awards to the participants of the festival at the Embassy of Bulgaria. Special diplomas were awarded to the graduates of Moscow Aviation Institute Nedislav Veselinov and Vladislav Shishkin and a MAI lecturer Alexey Sychev for the Russian-Bulgarian scientific project "Flight of aircraft in the atmospheres of the planets of the solar system", which became the winner of the festival at the aerospace show.
Boyko Kotsev praised the festival “From the screw!” contributing to the development of engineering talents of children and youth of Russia and other countries: "It is good that there is such a festival. Organizers have plenty of work, students and schoolchildren have notable successes in scientific and technical work. The youth of our country take part in the project with interest because the Russian and Bulgarian citizens are friendly peoples", — the ambassador said, adding that for he is ready to help Bulgarian young engineers to become MAI students of, as well as to do everything possible to support the scientific and technical creativity of youth in Bulgaria.
Note that the event was held at the Embassy of Bulgaria in the framework of cooperation between the countries on the implementation of joint projects of the International Festival of Children and Youth Research and Technical Creativity "From the screw!" exhibition which was successfully held at the International Aviation and Space MAKS salons. The participants of the festival "From the screw!" are often involved in international projects, creating the original concept of technical models together with young engineers from other countries. Thus, the number of projects has been developed with the participation of young people from the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Canada, the BRICS and others.
«We have been in good relations with representatives of the Embassy of Bulgaria and all projects in the field of youth and technical creativity have active support. We are very happy that the young talented engineers of our countries are friends, they develop and present their joint research and development such as an interplanetary flight to Jupiter” — said the founder and inspirer of the festival “From the Screw!”, Chairman of the Coordination Council for Development of Children and Youth Research and Technical Creativity of Engineering Union Victoria Soboleva.
MAI Chairman of the scientific research work of students of the Council Vitaly Polanski spoke about the stages of the project and preparation of its presentation, which enabled to evaluate the originality and knowledge-based ideas not only by MAI students but also the best engineers of Russia and the world — at the festival "From the screw!" In the "MAKS" Air Show.
According to Nedislav Veselinov, the victory in the festival “From the Screw!” has become a strong incentive and allowed him to achieve excellent results: he was noticed after the successful project he presented at MAKS. He has become more faith in his engineering ideas; he found new opportunities to reach his potential as an inventor.
“Festival “From the Screw!” provides opportunities not only for the formation of future engineering elite of our country, but also to work together with like-minded people from other countries. It is important that children and youth energy is directed to the creation in the field of scientific and technical creativity, strength good relations between our countries regardless of any political context”— said the first vice-president of the Russian Engineering Union, chairman of the organizing of the festival Council “From the screw!” Vladimir Gutenev.
With the assistance of the Embassy the organizers of the festival plan to "tighten the screw" in Bulgaria — in the framework of the project on scientific and technical creativity in the days of youth.
