MAI hosted Youth Festival

Youth Festival was held at Moscow Aviation Institute. It became the final chord of “MAI Youth Week” program, and took place from 24 to 28 June. It was timed to the All-Russian Youth Day.

MAI residents proved their erudition in intellectual game and in the “Moscow is the youth capital of Russia” quiz. “Youth in MAI” exhibition and friendly football game between the teams of volunteers and the union committee of university students also became part of the event.

On June 28, sports and gaming activities were organized on the square in front of the Main Educational Building: ping-pong tournament, tug-of-war competition, and basketball game. Young people also participated in FIFA cyber matches, launched paper models of airplanes, played panna and “gorodki”.

Concert program with musical groups and MAI vocalists’ performances constituted the entertainment part of the event.

– Our students participated in sports competitions, exhibitions, intellectual games and challenges. Youth Day in Russia unites the younger generation all over the country. And we congratulate everyone involved! – noted Sergey Kulikov, MAI vice-rector for Youth Policy.
