Му dear friends! 2023 has become a year of great change for us! Our University has entered a new and highly important stage both in its educational and scientific and research activity. This year, MAI, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, has become the member of the pilot project aiming at the upgrade of the higher education system, and it opened a wide range of opportunities for our students. The development of new educational approaches is aimed at the education of unique experts who possess not only profound professional knowledge and not only have creative minds, but who also are able to apply practical skills in the area of advanced technology. MAI holds the leading position among the participants of the Priority-2023 program giving premium to the overall development of the innovative technology, such as unmanned aerial systems, mathematical modeling, composite material constructions, space systems and services — and all that in close cooperation with the partners from the industry, regional and foreign universities. MAI inspiring environment helps to achieve success in a great variety of areas. During the second season of the KVN High League the MAI team won silver in the final game. Basketball MBA-MAI team perfroms in the Super League which is the second major league in Russian male basketball, and at the Mosprom Spartakiad MAI was titled the most athletic among the technical universities. Five MAI cosmonauts were at the ISS in 2023, and two are working there at the moment. I am sure that each of you can be proud not only of MAI achievements, but also of your own personal victories too. So, let the New Year bring us more breakthroughs and open up the perspectives in those areas where you would like to reach new heights! I wish you and your families happiness and luck!
