Delegation from Zimbabwe visited MAI

On December 1, the delegation from the Republic of Zimbabwe, headed by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technological Development Amon Murvira, visited Moscow Aviation Institute. Acting Director General of the National Geospatial and Space Agency of Zimbabwe (ZINGSA) Gweme Peinos was also among the delegates. In addition, Ilya Tarasenko, General Director of Glavkosmos, was also present there.

Training of personnel for space and aviation industry was the key topic of the event. The parties discussed potential launch of joint bachelor's and master's degree programs and additional professional education in the area of space systems design.

At the end of the visit, the delegation members met with MAI students from Zimbabwe. Murima undergraduates Brian Tatenda and Nyatsungo Tinashe Stephen told the audience about their studies at the university, scientific research and future plans to apply their knowledge for the sake of the Motherland.

Currently, there are 29 students from Zimbabwe studying at MAI: 15 of them are to acquire bachelor's degree and 14 – master's degree.
