MAI became the member of the Eurasian Aerospace Congress
On July 24, Moscow hosted the Fifth Eurasian Aerospace Congress, which brought together more than 600 delegates from Russia, the CIS countries, friendly countries of Europe and Asia. Representatives of Moscow Aviation Institute were among the participants of the event, delivering presentations at round tables.
This year, the congress covered a wide range of strategic issues related to the future development of aviation and space, strengthening the interaction of industry with academic and industry research institutes, universities and a number of applied topics.
The issues of training highly qualified experts who meet prospective needs of the industry were discussed during the "Personnel for technological sovereignty in the rocket and space industry" round table. Dmitry Kozorez, MAI Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, spoke about the principles of formation of a new model of higher education at the university, as well as about the development of a system of additional professional education programs in the area of space technology. As Dmitry Kozorez emphasized, MAI is actively cooperating with industrial partners, expanding the opportunities for targeted training of students and increasing the number of network programs in cooperation with regional universities. Relying on a continuous educational trajectory, MAI also involves interested children in its environment, starting from the elementary school, where programs are being implemented to master modern technologies at the sites of the MAI Children's Technopark "Takeoff Trajectory".
In addition, during the round table "NCMU Supersonic: Actual Tasks and Development Prospects ", a speech was delivered by Professor Alexander Efremov, Head of Department 106 "Dynamics and Control of Aircraft" MAI, Head of Laboratory No. 5 "Artificial Intelligence and Flight Safety" of the NCMU Supersonic. The scientist shared the results of the work of Moscow Aviation Institute, TsAGI, GosNIIAS and Moscow State University within the course of the laboratory, as well as the prospects for their development until 2030. In addition, the results that will be obtained with the allocation of additional funding were formulated.
The Congress contributes to the strengthening of cooperation between scientific and industrial enterprises of the aerospace industry in the Eurasian space, opening up new prospects for the development of cooperation. The landmark event was organized by the Eurasian Partnership of Aerospace Clusters and JSC Vneshaviakosmos with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, State Corporation Roscosmos, State Corporation Rostec, and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
