ICASSE organized by MAI and SJTU started in Shanghai
The VII International Scientific and Technical Conference International Conference on Aerospace System Science and Engineering (ICASSE 2023) started in Shanghai. It is held by Moscow Aviation Institute and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
Over the seven years of its work, the conference has become one of the leading Russian-Chinese platforms for inter-university cooperation of the scientific community in aerospace research. This year event takes place from July 6 to 8 on the basis of SJTU and brings together more than 100 participants from different countries.
The scientific team of Moscow Aviation Institute is headed by Dmitry Strelets, Acting Director of the Institute No. 1 "Aviation Technology", who made his report at the plenary session "Global challenges of supersonic aviation" on July 6.
– This is the first time we met face-to-face since COVID-19 pandemic. So, the event promises to be as rich and productive as possible. The development of cooperation with China has traditionally been a priority for MAI. It is important that we not only implement double degree programs successfully, but also create platforms for dialogue between scientists of the two countries, – Dmitry Strelets said in his speech.
One of the key speakers of ICASSE 2023 was Alexander Efremov, head of the department 106 "Dynamics and control of aircraft", the head of one of "Supersonic" laboratories, with his report "Progress in fundamental and applied research of the "airplane-pilot" system".
Following the results of the conference, papers will be published in Scopus indexed database. The best works of the participants will be published in the Aerospace Systems magazine.
