MAI team is the champion of Moscow rugby tournament

On May 28, the final fourth round of the Moscow rugby-7 championship took place on the Spartak Football Academy field. Our team won the second place at this stage, losing to the MGUSIT team 7:22. This defeat was the only one in the 2022-2023 season. The sum of points and the number of victories made MAI team the champions of the Moscow Student Sports Games.

– Our leading players participate in the Russian championship for youth teams. For objective reasons, we were not able to come up with the high-caliber team, so the results of the games are different from the usual ones, – said Valery Khromenkov, the coach – Nevertheless, the guys fought, beat the MGSU team with the score of 44:0 as well as our old rivals from MEPhI with the score of 17:12.
