MAI is leading in the Moscow Rugby Championship
On May 14, the games of the third round of the championship within the XXXV Moscow Student Sports Games were held on the field of the Spartak Football Academy.
Teams from seven Moscow universities participated in the strongest division.
Following the results of the tournament, MAI team took the first place, once again confirming the title of the strongest student team in Moscow!

- MAI - RUDN (Peoples' Friendship University) 47:0;
- MAI - FMSMU(1st Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov) 38:0;
- MAI - MGUSiT (University of Sports and Tourism) 24:0.
“It was not the high-caliber team, as the leading players took part in the Russian Championship for youth teams on the same day. Many athletes are not from Moscow, and because of the holidays there was no regular training. However, the guys took the game very responsibly. From the first minutes, they did not leave even the slightest chance of victory to their rivals. It is important that we managed to release all the declared players to the field. I am very pleased with the results and express my gratitude to the guys,” says coach Valery Khromenkov.
On May 27, the MSSI champion will be determined in the final stage. MAI team needs 3 or 4 places at this stage for absolute leadership, however, the guys are determined only to win.
