XLIX International youth scientific conference “Gagarin Readings” launched at MAI
On April 11, the XLIX International youth scientific conference “Gagarin Readings” started at Moscow Aviation Institute, participants from 8 countries and 86 cities of Russia will present their projects.
Mikhail Pogosyan, Rector of MAI, addressed the participants with a welcome speech at the opening. He supported young scientists who set themselves ambitious goals, and recalled how he himself participated in scientific conferences.
Andrey Korolev, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, the grandson of the legendary Soviet Designer Sergey Korolev, was the special guest of the “Gagarin Readings”. He spoke about his childhood, his passion for gliders and the immense love his grandfather felt for space.
“Radio engineering technique and systems”, “Technologies for the production of radio electronics”, “Robotics”, “Intelligent systems and aviation weapons”, “Control theory and optimization”, “Computer modeling and numerical experiment” and “Theoretical mechanics and differential equations” sections began their work on the first day of the conference. 106 reports and 16 speeches were delivered in English.
1270 young scientists became the participants of the event this year, 107 of them are declared in two papers, and 29 are the authors of three papers. Projects were also prepared by representatives of Kazakhstan, India, China, Colombia, Vietnam, Mali and Korea.
The conference will end on April 12, 2023.
