Mikhail Pogosyan met with MAI-SJTU students
Mikhail Pogosyan, Rector of Moscow Aviation Institute, met with the participants of the joint MAI and Shanghai Jiao Tong University programs (master and bachelor degrees). The career prospects of the students after graduation was the main topic of the meeting.
Mikhail Aslanovich spoke about the programs that MAI implements together with enterprises of the Russian aviation industry. The projects to be done as part of training practices were discussed also.
The MAI-SJTU Joint Institute was opened in 2017. Its purpose is to form employee pool for CR929, the Russian-Chinese project of a wide-body long-haul aircraft. Development of global thinking, good command of foreign languages, acquisition of technical competencies for the subsequent implementation in Russian-Chinese projects are the fundamental objectives of the joint programs.
The lectures to the joint groups are given in English. During the first year and the last six months of the course, students study in Shanghai - one of the top 100 world universities. During the second year, the students study at MAI, which is the leading aerospace university in Russia. The graduates of the program get two diplomas.
Every MAI student has the opportunity to study in Shanghai and become an internationally recognized expert. The Joint Institute continues to enroll to bachelor and master degree programs. Lear more at the MAI-SJTU website.
