MAI team started the new season in the KVN Top League

The team of Moscow Aviation Institute has started a new season in the KVN Top League. The first qualifying game was on February 19 at “Planet KVN”. The rivals were the Team of the village “A” (Murmansk), Donetsk Ridge (Donetsk), Flash Royal (Rostov-on-Don) and Pal Palych (Khabarovsk).

The game consisted of three contests: "Greeting", "Biathlon" and "Musical Homework". MAI team scored 10.8 points out of 11 possible and reached the quarterfinals.

– The last week of preparation was very disturbing, despair came after inspiration. Emotional tension grew exponentially every day," commented Elizaveta Goncharova, the member of the team. – The results of the game were a little unexpected for me, but it is good to feel that self-criticism was excessive. We worked hard to get five points for two contests, so I am very glad that our efforts were not in vain.

There will be four qualifying games Top League in total, following which 16 teams will advance to the next stage. The Top League is the most important, and its games are broadcast on Channel One. MAI residents are playing in the League for the second time. Last year, the team managed to reach the final and get bronze.
