More than 150 students celebrated Chinese New Year in MAI
The MAI Rector Mikhail Pogosyan, the Head of the International Department Maxim Vasiliev, and the Director of the Department of Advanced Scientific Programs Roman Klinovsky wished the students a happy holiday. As Dr. Pogosyan noted, cooperation with Chinese universities and industry representatives is highly valued by MAI and Russia as a whole.
The holiday program included artistic performances by students, contests, a raffle, and a disco. The main event of the evening was the show of Chinese lions — colorful characters of East Asian mythology which symbolize strength, power, and prosperity. The traditional lion dance is an integral part of New Year celebrations in China.
In total, more than 450 Chinese students study at Moscow Aviation Institute. MAI also implements a unique dual degree program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The training lasts for 2.5 years and takes place in Shanghai and Moscow in mixed Russian-Chinese groups. You can apply for admission by following the link.
