New generation of engineers: MAI became the winner of the "Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year" title for the 11th time
For the 11th time in a row, Moscow Aviation Institute became the winner of "Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year" competition in the nomination "For training a new generation of the aircraft industry experts among educational institutions". The ceremony of granting awards to the laureates and diploma winners of the competition for the results of 2021 took place on October 25.
The Organizing Committee of the competition noted MAI for the successful implementation of the program of network regional cooperation for the purpose of advanced training for the aviation industry of Russia. The award was presented by the Senator of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets Andrey Epishin to the Acting Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of MAI Yury Ravikovich.
– I would like to express gratitude to our colleagues, the whole community and the organizing committee for the high assessment received by the Moscow Aviation Institute. We are part of the first group of universities of the Priority 2030 project, and this year we also became participants in the Advanced Engineering School project. As part of the project, five laboratories and corresponding training programs are being created at MAI," Yury Ravikovich said receiving the award.
59 organizations took part in the competition, 103 works in 10 nominations were presented. More than 100 experts evaluated the works. They chose 26 organizations that became diploma holders and laureates of the competition.
The competition "Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year" has been carried out since 2012. Its founders are the Union of Aircraft Manufacturers of Russia, PJSC “United Aircraft Corporation”, JSC “United Engine Corporation”, JSC “Russian Helicopters”, JSC “AKB Novikombank”, Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute. MAI participates in the competition every year since its foundation and becomes the winner of awards annually.
