MAI presents its developments at "Technoforum-2022"
MAI presents its developments at "Technoforum-2022", the international exhibition of equipment and technologies for processing structural materials. The event takes place on October 24-27 at Expocentre as part of the Russian Industrial Week. Leading manufacturers will demonstrate the latest equipment for various sectors of mechanical engineering, machine tool construction and development of structural materials.
As part of the business program, MAI experts will talk about advanced developments. Dmitry Sukhanov, head of the AR/VR direction of MAI Competence Center "Energy Systems", will talk about the application of AR/VR technologies for the complex of technological operations and organizational actions in production, maintenance and repair of complex equipment taking for the example the solutions of MAI Competence Center "Energy Systems". Augmented reality assistants allow to display interactive instructions in front of the user’s eyes and superimpose them on complex equipment and aggregates, to record audio and video works with 3D models displayed in real space and evaluate design solutions in full-scale viewing.
Andrey Ripetsky, Associate Professor of MAI Department 904 "Engineering Graphics", head of MAI Laboratory of Additive Technologies, will talk about the environment of technological training as an element of quality management in additive technologies. The topic of the presentation is devoted to the tasks of quality control, reducing the number of defects and inconsistencies caused by mistakes of the personnel. Additive technologies are being actively introduced into production chains today, and this forms a new level of relevance of quality assurance in such processes. Each implementation case requires analysis and development of appropriate recommendations. During the presentation, approaches to solving such problems and examples of the implementation of appropriate software and hardware solutions will be considered.
As part of the exhibition, MAI Department 204 "Aerospace Thermal Engineering" with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, under Agreement No. 05.607.21.0299 of 03.12.2019, presents a line of developed and manufactured heterogeneous flow accelerators optimized for obtaining coatings on surfaces of various shapes, including large-area flat surfaces, internal and external surfaces of pipelines; for growing a multilayer material (additive technology) consisting of layers with different properties also. The accelerators work on an experimental installation for the formation of protective coatings by a low-temperature gas-dynamic method. The protective coating obtained at the installation is applicable to oil pipelines, gas pipelines, metal structures of various sizes - from small products to bridge structures and for ships sailing in Arctic. The coating is resistant to aggressive environment, which increases the service life of metal structures. The manufacturing technology does not require special cleaning of the treated surface or use of unique equipment.
At the "Russian Industrial Week" MAI also presents its developments at the exhibition of the IX International Industrial Forum "NDT Territory. Non-destructive testing. Trials. Diagnostics", which is held from 24 to 26 October.
