MAI residents are winners of the World Armor Karate Championship
The World Armor Karate Championship was held in Moscow. Three MAI students took part in the competition. They won one silver and two bronze medals.
The championship brought together participants from 24 regions of Russia and 14 countries of the world. Armor Karate is fighting in helmets with a plastic visor, where all punches, kicks, knees and elbows are allowed.
The rivals met in two-minute duels, the final one consisted of three rounds of two minutes each. In total, MAI residents stood through 19 fights.
Dmitry Ivanov from Institute No. 4 "Radio Electronics, Infocommunications and Information Security" won second place in a difficult fight. Allaberdi Tenliyev from the Institute No. 3 "Control systems, informatics and electric power engineering" became the third. Timur Seitov from Institute No. 4 "Radio Electronics, Infocommunications and information security" also won the third place.
