MAI summed up the results of the International Summer School
The event brought together more than 70 students from seven leading Chinese universities: Jiaxing, Beijing University of Aviation and Cosmonautics, Northwestern Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University, Central Southern University, Beijing Technical Institute and Nanjing University of Aviation and Cosmonautics. 50 experts elaborated the program of the courses.
The organizers held 9 broadcasts and sessions in the “question – answer” format. Students attended online lectures, live broadcasts and sports workshops online, and also worked on homework and the feedback that they got from their teachers. The program lasted 3 weeks – each course took 5 days.
This year the courses were aimed at gaining knowledge in IT, development, design and management. A unique program on additive technologies was created under the guidance of Andrey Ripetsky, Associate Professor of MAI Department 904, Head of the Laboratory of Additive Technologies and 3D Printing. The IT&Design course was supervised by Ilya Konstantinov, the assistant of the department 101.
– The lessons and materials prepared by the speakers of the School were of high expertise and they were delivered to the students at the highest level – I plan to return to watching lectures several more times, – says Lin Hingtao, the participant of the School. – The curators took their work seriously and responsibly. I was especially interested in technology and I hope that the knowledge I gained will help me in my specialty!
This year the organizers experimented with online physical education classes for the first time. Between the lectures, Summer School students participated in marathon running, basketball and comprehensive functional training.
All participants of the School were awarded with the diplomas on completion of the courses.
– MAI Summer School is a great opportunity for international students not only to gain advanced knowledge in their area of interest, but also to get acquainted with the structure of the educational system. It is safe to say that the participants of each program spent a week with benefits for their future! — notes the director of the school Alexander Khvan.
