MAI team won 1/8 of the KVN Top League

The team of the Moscow Aviation Institute achieved a perfect score according to the results of 1/8 of the KVN Major League and passed to the next stage of the competition. The game took place on June 30 at the Moscow Youth Centre «Planeta KVN». The performances were judged by Dmitry Khrustalev, Vadim Galygin, Alla Mikheeva, Alexey Yagudin and Alexandr Maslyakov.

The team of MAI received the highest marks in all three competitions of the first stage — «Greeting», «Biathlon» and «Musical homework». As a result, our players won the fifth game of the 1/8 finals.

With 11 points university team showed the best result among 25 teams in the first TV round. Next step for them it’s a game in 1/4 of the KVN Major League. There are 18 teams qualified for the quarterfinals in total.

— In fact, only after the competition, we realized that we were playing in the Major League. Of course, there are pure delight and pride! — the team captain, MAI student Alexey Dostanko shares.

— Forecasts for 1/4 are still difficult to make. The KVN is such a game that doesn’t like predictions — everything could change in a moment. Anyway, we hope to repeat our success!

The team has been representing the university at the KVN games for more than 15 years. This year they got into the main league of the club for the first time. The key partner of the team is SDM-Bank. The Major League games are broadcast on Channel One (Russia). The performances of the MAI team can only be seen on the air.
