MAI graduates created the aero off-roader
Arsen Gritskevich and Alexey Nikiforov, the graduates of Moscow Aviation Institute designed and developed the Bush 505 starlifter aircraft from scratch while working in the private domestic aircraft company AGAN. It is able to take off and land in the mountains, in the swamp, in the snow and at sea.
— The machine doesn’t need airfields: in fact, the pilot might land it on a small forest meadow, — said the founder of the company AGAN, Chief Designer Alexey Nikiforov.
The developers used their own funds and partially used the prepayment from their customers. Some of the orders came from abroad: for example, eight aircraft are to be delivered to the United States in the next few years.
The price of one aircraft is 19.5 million rubles, the flight range is 1200 kilometers. The engine capacity is 5.2 liters, 180 horsepower, the fuel tank stores 210 liters. It consumes 24 liters per hour. All the components are Russian, but the engine is Belgian. We are already working on Russian analogue.
