More than 200 MAI residents took part in the Donor Day

Moscow Aviation Institute hosted the traditional “Donor Day” event. For two days, on May 19 and 20, 220 MAI residents were taking part in the action, 160 of them became donors.

Center for the Development of Volunteerism and Initiatives of MAI Students and the Blood Center named after O.K. Gavrilov were the organizers. The Moscow Regional Branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University and the National Fund for the Development of Healthcare in Moscow became the partners of the event.

“The donor initiative at the university is developing actively, and we, on our side, are trying to contribute to this, — says Elena Yankovaya, Head of the Center for the Development of Volunteerism and Initiatives of MAI Students. “Blood donation takes place both at the university and at the sites of our partners on the regular basis. MAI has been receiving the award "For contribution to the development of gratuitous donation" for two years already, and we are very proud of this result.”

Donors who donated blood during the campaign received food stamps in the “Icebreaker” canteen (Ledokol) and souvenirs.
