The Moscow Aviation Institute's Palace of Culture and Technology hosted the finals of the Miss MAI competition for intelligence, beauty and grace. This year, Anna Sizikova, a first-year student of Institute No. 5, Engineering Economics and Humanities, won the honorary title. She performed an author's song and dance number in the finals.

"I have been involved in creative work all my life," says Anna. "I have been dancing in a dance group for 14 years, I graduated with honours from music school. I have taken part in national and international music competitions and have won first prize several times."

She says her main aim was to attract the audience with her charisma, charm and energy.

"I think I have succeeded," she said. " I was overwhelmed with emotion when I heard I had won. I am very glad that my hard work in preparation for the competition was not in vain."

Anna had dreamed of entering MAI and becoming part of the university family since the 10th grade. Studying at the university, she enjoyed participating in many student activities, not limited to her institute. The girl notes that she studies with great pleasure and in the future plans to work in her profession - in the field of management.

A total of eight MAI students made it to the final. Gulnaz Shabanova was named Second Vice-Miss, while Alexandra Marchenko became First Vice-Miss and the winner of the Audience Choice Award.
