Moscow Aviation Institute participated in the first meeting of the working group on trade and industrial cooperation of the Joint Russian-Malaysian Commission for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.

In the Aerospace Industry block, Moscow Aviation Institute was represented by Olga Pogosyan, Deputy Head of the International Activities Department. Viktor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy of Rostec State Corporation, Shamsul Qamar Abu Samah, Head of the National Aerospace Industry Coordination Bureau, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, PJSC "Irkut Corporation" and Russian Helicopters Holding Company also spoke in this block.

"We see many opportunities for MAI to participate in real projects with Malaysia and introduce innovative approaches together with local partners," said Olga Pogosyan in her speech. "Our cooperation with Malaysia has already lasted for 16 years. Now it is based on the implementation of educational programmes and staff training, but we aim to bring it to a new level, based on the development of technology and industry partnership with local market players".

Within the framework of the Joint Commission, a bilateral expert discussion is being held aimed at strengthening economic ties between Russia and Malaysia and identifying specific areas of mutual cooperation in various industries.

Recall that in April 2021 the MAI joined the Business Council for Cooperation with Malaysia, established to support initiatives of Russian companies to promote their products and services in Malaysia.
