MAI joins Malaysia-Russia Business Council
In April 2021, Moscow Aviation Institute joined the Malaysia-Russia Business Council (MRBC) to promote the Russian-Malaysian partnership in education, research and development in the aerospace sector.

"We wish to officially extend our warm welcome to Moscow Aviation Institute, a world-leading aerospace education institute and research university as a member of the Malaysia-Russia Business Council. MAI has been educating Malaysian aerospace engineers through a structured programme since 2006 and continues to evolve their offering to prepare students, professionals and businesses for the future in aerospace with cutting edge programmes," commented the event on the PRSP Facebook page.

The Malaysia Russia Business Council was established to foster business cooperation between Malaysia and the Russian Federation, support initiatives of Russian companies, and promote Russian products and services in Malaysia.

The first meeting of the council was held on 27 February 2020 in Kuala Lumpur. It was attended by representatives of major companies and government agencies of Malaysia and Russia.

The history of cooperation between the MAI and Malaysian partners counts more than 15 years. In 2006, MAI signed an agreement with the Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology of the University of Kuala Lumpur (MIAT UniKL). Each year, under this agreement, 15 to 35 Malaysian students are sent to study in Russia after a year of a preparatory course.
