Delegation from the Embassy of El Salvador to Russia visits Moscow Aviation Insitute

On February 11, a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of El Salvador in Russia paid a working and friendly visit to the Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University). Chargé d'affaires ad interim of El Salvador Yuri Pavel Santacruz Perdomo was among the guests of honour. The delegation of foreign guests was welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Alexander Shemyakov, Deputy Head of International Relations Department, Alexey Zarechensky, and the Deputy Head of International Projects Department of International Relations Department, Natalia Vodina. The agenda of the meeting was mainly focused on the development of cooperation. Since today the aviation industry is actively developing in El Salvador, the republic urgently needs expansion of expertise at the expense of close cooperation with the leaders of the international market. In this regard, the parties agreed on university-to-university cooperation between the universities of El Salvador and the MAI, as well as on MAI's support to the aviation industry of El Salvador in integration with the university's industrial partners. At the end of the meeting, the guests were given a tour of some of the main locations of the university. The delegation visited the Almaz orbital station located on the territory of Institute 6 "Aerospace", and also the Department 301 "Control Systems, Informatics and Power Engineering" of Institute 3 "Control Systems, Informatics and Power Engineering" of the MAI. In the Department 301, the guests not only learned about the activities of its researchers and the developments of the students, including a cockpit simulator, where the control of the aircraft is carried out by gaze (development by the graduate student of Department 301, Sergey Pushilin). For demonstration purposes, the area of El Salvador airport was uploaded into the simulator.
