MAI at the International Conference dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of Gagarin and Titov flights
On February 7, the Moscow Aviation Institute took part in the international online conference organized by the RISKSAT project group. The event was devoted to discussions between the participants and partners of large-scale topical projects and programs dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Yuri Gagarin and German Titov flights.The conference was conducted in two languages and became the platform for the experience exchange between people from different countries. The online conference was attended by over 100 representatives of various educational and research organizations, i.e. the leaders, teachers and students, from 38 regions of Russia and a dozen of foreign countries (Czech Republic, Germany, Brazil, Morocco, Monaco, Kenya, India, Mexico, Armenia, USA and others). The participants discussed the development of science, technology and creativity.
The event was opened by Olga Tushavina, the Director of No. 6 Aerospace Institute of MAI University. She described the opportunities that the university provides to Russian and foreign students in detail, including those available to young fellow citizens living abroad now. She also announced that the MAI holds a cycle of Open Doors Days, during it on the 13th of February, the applicants will be able to get acquainted with the «Rocket and Space Systems» training, and learn about the for admission procedure to MAI in 2021.Elizaveta Panych, the 1st year student of the I-15 department «Advertising and PR in high-tech industries» of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Moscow Aviation Institute, spoke at the conference. She is the member of the youth coordinating council of the «Out of time and space - flying around the Earth - 60 years in space» international project. At the meeting, she introduced the project, upcoming events, and proposed to create the club of young diplomats with knowledge in rocket and space systems.The «Out of time and space - flying around the Earth - 60 years in space» project is being implemented by the RISKSAT project group in cooperation with Institute No. 6 of the Moscow Aviation Institute, the administration of the Troitsk city, TINAO and the Gymnasium named after N.V.Pushkov and is aimed at supporting young fellow citizen living abroad who are interested in space technologies. The main coordinator and the head of the project from the Czech Republic is Anna Evsina, the chairman of the board of the International Cultural Institute «Klyuch», the member of the coordinating council of Russian fellow citizens in the Czech Republic, curator of the youth diplomacy club in the Czech Republic. The project was supported by the Russian Embassy in the Czech Republic, the Moscow House of Fellow Citizens in the Czech Republic and Rossotrudnichestvo, and other organizations in Russia and the Czech Republic.The project was launched at the end of December 2020 and will last for a year and a half. During this time, it is planned to organize such events as the meeting of graduates of aerospace universities, the exhibition of scientific and technical creativity, the School of Space Education, XV International Youth Scientific Conference named after. S.P. Korolev, and others.
