Moscow Aviation Institute became the venue for the V Russian Forum "Science of the Future"
Moscow Aviation Institute became the venue for the V Russian Forum "Science of the Future", organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. An important scientific event of the year bringing together the younger generation of scientists and international experts, started on November 30 and is to last until December 3.
The Assistant to the President Andrey Fursenko, Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and Rector of Moscow Aviation Institute Mikhail Pogosyan, attended the opening ceremony of the event.
Andrey Fursenko noted that the forum annually shows important results as far as the development of science is concerned, allowing to launch significant projects both in the area of fundamental and applied research.
— I really hope that this meeting will launch several interesting projects. It is important that in today’s program quite a serious emphasis is put on what everyone cares about nowadays: the problems of medicine, pharmacology, ecology — he stressed in his speech.
He also thanked MAI Rector Mikhail Pogosyan, underlining the high level of organization of the event in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, taking into account all the necessary safety measures that are to be taken.
In his turn, Mikhail Pogosyan expressed hope that the great work that has been done will not only create lively atmosphere of the event and not only allow to present the projects and share ideas, but will also contribute to creation of the new interdisciplinary teams.
— Today is a very good time for the leaders of various types of scientific research to appear, and I hope that the forum will allow many people to look more broadly at the tasks that we face and let them show themselves in solving them — Mikhail Pogosyan added.
The participants, guests and organizers of the forum were also addressed by Alexander Sergeev, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Abdo Malak, adviser on science and technology at the French Embassy in Russia, Vladimir Kvardakov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Alexander Khlunov, General Director of the Russian Science Foundation, and other well-known scientists.
