MAI in Zhejiang University: Work on Dual Programs
On January 17, 2020, a delegation from Moscow Aviation Institute, headed by Rector Mikhail Pogosyan, paid an official visit to a partner university in People’s Republic of China - Zhejiang University (ZJU).
Since 2018, MAI and ZJU develop stronger partnership: they launched joint educational master’s and bachelor’s double degree programs in Aircraft Engineering, Aircraft Engines and Spacecraft Engineering for Chinese students in English medium; students of ZJU regularly participate in MAI Aerospace Summer School.
The purpose of the visit was to coordinate a joint work on dual programs. During negotiations between MAI Rector Mikhail Pogosyan, President of ZJU Wu Zhaohui and specialists of both universities, work programs of disciplines were agreed. It was made in order to transfer credits to MAI, when students come to study in Moscow in the 4th year of bachelor’s and in the 2nd year of master’s studies.
For MAI Rector it was the first visit to Zhejiang University, therefore, the MAI delegation was given a tour of the university and had a welcome dinner.
Zhejiang University is one of China’s top higher education institutions, taking the 4th position in the state ranking.
