Members of MAI Tourist Club Made Three Trips on New Year's Holidays

On New Year's holidays, the participants of MAI Tourist Club were doing the work that they love: conquering new peaks. The students made three trips.On December 27, 2019 - January 4, 2020 a group led by Nikolai Masalskiy made a ski trip of the first difficulty level to Taganay (the South Ural).On January 3–9, a group led by Peter Rykalov made a ski trip of the second difficulty level in Khibiny Mountains (Kola Peninsula).On January 3, a mountain hike of the sixth level of difficulty began in the Andes (South America) by the team of Anton Chkhetiani. The students have plans to climb the highest peak of the Cordillera de la Ramada ridge. The planned date for the end of the campaign is January 31.In summery, 226 people took part in the campaigns under the flag of MAI Tourist Club in the past year!In 2019, MAI students made:
  • 7 ski trips in which 60 people took part;
  • 7 mountain hikes, in which 61 people took part;
  • 7 water trips, in which 79 people took part;
  • 2 hiking trips in which 26 people took part.
Six MAI students who made their first trips last year were awarded the “Russian Tourist” badges.Also in November 2019, the XI Autumn Orienteering Cup of MAI Tourist Club was held.
