MAI Students Won Gold in the "Space" Competence at WorldSkills Russia
From November 26 to 29, the final competitions of the III National Interuniversity Championship "Young Professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) were held in Moscow.
This year, Moscow Aviation Institute was represented at the WorldSkills Russia in two competencies: traditional for the university "Space Systems Engineering"and exhibition track "Technological Entrepreneurship", co-developer and expert of which became IT Center of MAI.
According to the results of the competitions in the competency "Space Systems Engineering", MAI students won gold, thus continuing the chain of victorious performances: this nomination for MAI has become victorious for the third year in a row. The honor of the university was defended by students who showed the highest results during the internal university qualifying competitions: Grigory Lepyokhin, Konstantin Fateev (Institute No. 6 "Aerospace") and Vadim Popov (Institute No. 4 "Radioelectronics, Infocommunication and Information Security"). Maxim Kalyagin was an expert-compatriot for the MAI team.
“The gold that MAI students have won for the third year in a row in the competency “Space Systems Engineering” of the interuniversity championship is a natural result of the systematic talent development work that is being conducted at the university today. This allows us to achieve the highest results from year to year in such a promising and high-tech direction as small spacecraft. The students representing MAI in the finals are involved in the work of MAI design bureaus and competence centers, have experience in teamwork and in solving complex engineering problems,” said Maxim Kalyagin.
Also, MAI students Maxim Eremin and Artemy Mazaev (Institute No. 3 “Control Systems, Informatics and Electric-Power Engineering”), led by expert-compatriot Kirill Schukin (Head of MAI Drone School) won silver in the exhibition nomination “Technological Entrepreneurship”.
We congratulate MAI students and specialists on their victories and wish them new achievements and success!
