Educational Visit of Students from Beihang University to MAI

On August 26, 2019, nine students of Beihang University (Beijing, China) gave MAI a familiarization visit in order to get acquainted with the university campus.

The major of Chinese students in Beihang University is aircraft engineering, and to visit MAI was a part of their long-standing travel plan around Russia. Moscow Aviation Institute is a partner university of Beihang University, they have joint master's degree programs, and students see MAI as a place to continue their studies at master's or postgraduate educational programs.

Before the visit to MAI student had a journey to Saint Petersburg and saw a lot of sites of Moscow. “Moscow Aviation Institute was a must of our trip to Russia, because we plan to continue our studies here. MAI is well known in Beihang University, because MAI employees once helped to create our own university. I admire Russian airplanes and I think that MAI is the best school in aircraft engineering in Russia,” said Zhang Xiaoyue.

During the stay in MAI, students met with representatives of International Department, and visited an educational laboratory of Department 101 "Design and Certification of Aviation Technology", where they were shown samples of Russian aircraft as SU-25, MiG-29, Yak-40, MAI-890, Su-27, etc.

The next point of visit for Chinese students is the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019 and aviation museums in Moscow region.
