Complex about MAI Graduate Opened at VDNH
On June 24, a solemn opening of a memorial stand devoted to the life and work of one of the founders of the national cosmonautics, graduate of Moscow Aviation Institute, Mikhail Reshetnev, took place in the pavilion Cosmos at the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNH).
Now visitors of the Center for Cosmonautics and Aviation will be able to learn a lot about the main artificial satellites of the Earth and the life of their developer.
The opening of the new stand is timed to coincide with two anniversaries: 95 years to the designer Mikhail Reshetnev and 60 years of Information Satellite Systems – Reshetnev Company (ISS-Reshetnev Company) – the country's leading enterprise on the creation of spacecraft communications, navigation, geodesy, etc.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mikhail Khaylov, Deputy Director General for Space Complexes and Systems of Roscosmos State Corporation, Nikolai Testoedov, Director General of the ISS-Reshetnev Company, Denis Kravchenko, State Duma Deputy, Fyodor Yurchikhin, Pilot-Cosmonaut Hero of Russia and graduate of MAI, and other guests of honor.
