Associate Professor of MAI Won Medals at the World Championship for Aircraft Modeling
On the first weekend of April in Switzerland, where the headquarters of the Olympic Committee is located, a plenary meeting of the International Astronautical Federation (FAI) was held. A specialist of Moscow Aviation Institute, an associate professor of MAI Department 204 "Aerospace Heat Engineering", Alexey Ezhov, represented our country as a delegate from the federation of aircraft modeling of Russia at a meeting of the FAI Aeromodelling Commission (CIAM). This event is held annually and is fundamental for voting and adopting amendments to the FAI sports code, approving new classes of models, and venues for international competitions. Also at the meeting, the award ceremony of winners and prizewinners of the World Cup 2018 was held. Chairman of the missile model committee, world-class master of sports Alexey Ezhov won two World Cups and was awarded FAI gold medals in classes of S8E radio-controlled rocket-glider models and missile models for the duration of descent with an S6A ribbon, with the total number of participants being more than 400 athletes.
