Rector of MAI held a Press Conference at the Russian Embassy in India
At the end of February, a press conference of MAI Rector, Mikhail Pogosian, was held at the Russian Embassy in India (New Delhi).
The meeting was devoted to the development of cooperation between Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) and Indian universities. The press conference was attended by leading Indian media.
“India represents a great potential in terms of developing relations on joint educational projects. Over the past few years, the number of students from India has tripled. Most of them are trained in English-language programs of MAI. As part of the project for the export of Russian engineering education, we believe that this trend is a positive result and confirms the correctness of the chosen direction of activity,”- said Mikhail Pogosian.
The Rector of MAI, Mikhail Pogosian, also said that MAI is a record holder among universities in the number of graduates who became cosmonaut pilots (23 people), as well as test pilots. Alumni of MAI conducted 65 spacewalks.
